freshmeat notification

If you wish to be notified of new releases, but do not wish to subscribe to the IRC Services mailing list, you can subscribe to Freshmeat's release notifications.

Notifications are sent almost immediately after a release is made and include the release's orientation (bug fixes/feature additions), its importance (major/minor) and a brief description of the changes in the release.
